We celebrated our wedding on 2 May 2026, but our experience with the Hythe Imperial Hotel began many months before our special day.
From the moment we met Georgia, we felt completely at ease. She welcomed us and our family, took the time to get to know us, and showed us around the beautiful venue. Her genuine passion for weddings and warm, reassuring approach made it easy to trust her with one of the biggest days of our lives.
Throughout the planning process, Georgia was always on hand to answer our questions, provide guidance and make sure everything stayed on track. The detailed welcome pack and regular planning meetings helped us feel organised and confident every step of the way. Whenever a challenge arose, she dealt with it quickly and professionally, allowing us to enjoy the excitement of planning our wedding without unnecessary stress.
One of the highlights before the big day was our wedding menu tasting. The catering team looked after us so well, and the food completely exceeded our expectations. My husband, who had originally been determined to have a burger on our wedding day, was completely won over by the chicken dish. On the day itself, every course was beautifully presented and served perfectly. Our guests couldn’t stop talking about the food, with many saying it was some of the best wedding food they’d ever had. The chicken, Parmentier potatoes and white chocolate & raspberry roulade were particular favourites, and the evening buffet was equally impressive.
The venue itself was stunning. Our reception room looked beautiful, and the gardens and seafront created the perfect backdrop for our wedding photographs. Having both the main bar and the Moët & Chandon Champagne Bar meant guests were always well looked after, while also giving us the opportunity to enjoy a quiet moment together as newlyweds.
The incredible service continued throughout the day. The bar staff made sure we always had everything we needed and even looked after our trainers so we could change into them after our photographs. Lewis, the Duty Manager, regularly checked in with us during the celebrations, wished us goodnight personally and even asked how everything had been when he saw us the following morning. Those thoughtful touches made us feel truly valued.
After an unforgettable day, we returned to a beautiful, spotless bedroom with stunning views, an incredibly comfortable bed and everything we needed to relax after the celebrations. Our guests also loved their stay, particularly making the most of the hotel’s leisure facilities, with the swimming pool proving especially popular.
Looking back, we couldn’t have asked for a better wedding venue. Every member of the Hythe Imperial team played a part in making our day so special, and we are incredibly grateful for the care, attention and dedication they showed from start to finish.
If you’re thinking about getting married at the Hythe Imperial Hotel, we can’t recommend it highly enough. They didn’t just host our wedding, they helped create memories we’ll treasure for the rest of our lives.
