Wedding Guests' Handy Guide

Getting to Us

Our postcode is CT21 6AE and you can easily access our premises through either Princes Parade or Twiss Road, depending on your point of departure. For those who use What3Words for navigation, you can find us at outhouse.abandons.deals. If you’re travelling by train, the nearest stations to us are Sandling, Folkestone West, and Folkestone Central, all of which are a short taxi ride away. We regret to inform you that we are located in an area where Uber services are currently not operational. However, we are surrounded by several reliable taxi firms. We strongly advise you to book your taxi in advance to avoid any delays or inconvenience, particularly if you do not have plans to stay the night, as the demand for taxis can often outstrip supply. Please bear in mind that we, unfortunately, cannot provide transportation for our guests as we do not hold a Private Hire Vehicle license.

Staying with Us

We have a range of bedrooms and we advise booking in advance to avoid disappointment. Check in is from 4pm and we advise booking a room the night before the wedding, should you require to access the room earlier than the guaranteed check in time of 5pm. If you have received a booking code, please contact our Reservations Team on 01303 267441 to make your reservation.

Dining and Drinks

At the Hythe Imperial, we’re proud to offer a dining and drinking experience that satisfies all tastes. Take a seat in our Windsor Lounge, where we serve Afternoon Tea daily, or enjoy the same in our picturesque garden beneath the gazebos when the sun shines bright in the warmer months. But that’s not all we have to offer. As the home to Kent’s Only Moet & Chandon Champagne Bar, we provide the perfect setting for those who enjoy the finer things in life. A glass or two of the world-renowned bubbly could be just what you need to unwind. For an unforgettable dining experience, our AA Rosette Coast Restaurant awaits. Sample our a la carte seasonal menu, each dish beautifully crafted using fresh, local ingredients. To accompany your meal, choose from our wide-ranging wine list, featuring selections from around the world. If you’re after a more laid-back atmosphere, head to our Martello Bar. Here, you can savour classic pub-style meals, paired perfectly with a pint of your choice. At the Hythe Imperial, we ensure that every dining experience is a delightful journey that leaves you craving for more.

Spa & Leisure Facilities

The Spa & Leisure facilities are free to use for hotel residents. So it you are looking for a quick workout before the wedding festivities commence, or a bit of R&R in the jacuzzi, sauna and steam room or a quick swim, just head on down to the lower ground floor and the team will be happy to show you where everything is. Spa treatments are available for an extra charge and will need to be booked in advance. Please note that the Spa & Leisure Facilities are managed by 3D Leisure.

Changing Facilities

Whilst we do not have a dedicated changing area, our public conveniences are spacious and the ladies rooms (on the ground and first floor) have a full length mirror.

Parking

We offer free parking for all our guests. Please let the Reception Team know when you arrive.

Accessibility

The hotel has a ramp at the entrance of the hotel and all ceremony areas can be accessed by a wheelchair. We have 2 lifts to access the Imperial Ballroom on the 1st floor, where the majority of our wedding receptions take place. There are 2 accessible toilets, 1 on the ground floor and the other adjacent to Ballroom on the 1st floor. We also have a number of fully accessible bedrooms equipped with a wet room, simply let us know at the time of booking that you would like to be allocated one of these rooms.

Confetti

Unfortunately, we do not allow confetti on the hotel grounds or inside. If the wedding couple have included confetti as part of their celebrations, this will be thrown on the beach, across the road from the hotel.

Lost Property

Please let the Reception Team know if you have misplaced any of your personal items as soon as possible so the team can help locate it and return it back to you. If you have already left the hotel, the team will contact you to advise if they found your item or not. Should we need to return an item to you via the postal service, the postage cost plus and admin fee of £5 will be chargeable.
