The history of Kent
Set in the south-east corner of Britain, Kent has a history stretching back as far as Roman times, and even earlier as a settlement of Celtic tribes.
And the name ‘Garden of England’ is said to have been given to Kent by none other than King Henry VIII.
In this historic county, our hotel started life as The Seabrook Hotel in 1880.
A Victorian building, it’s steeped in elegance and beauty, but was fully modernised and refurbished to bring it up-to-date.
Today it retains its historic charm but with a contemporary edge.
