Father’s Day is celebrated in many countries around the world, although not at the same time.

In the UK, it’s always celebrated on the third Sunday in June, so it’s usually a day with good weather too!

Some families celebrate with gifts and cards. Others plan a day out, a walk, or a family meal together.

But however you want to mark it this year, the idea is simple: to pause and celebrate those men who mean the most to us.

And at the Hythe Imperial, we think a proper Sunday lunch is a wonderful place to start!

Take your seat for a classic British carvery experience, dining while looking out the beautiful Kent coastline.

Prepared by the chefs from our AA-rosette winning Coast restaurant, our talented team will be serving a freshly-prepared menu in our elegant restaurant setting. Expect roast meats, seasonal accompaniments and local ingredients with gravy, all the trimmings and great service too.

It’s designed to be relaxed and full of flavour – perfect for your Father’s Day family celebration.

You can choose from one course for £20 per person, two courses for £26 per person – or the full three courses for £31 per person.

Whether you’re planning a small table for two or bringing the whole extended family along, we’d really love to welcome you!

It’s a lovely way to enjoy Father’s Day in Kent without anyone having to cook – or face the washing up afterwards!

What’s on the Father’s Day menu?

The Father’s Day menu will be confirmed closer to the date, but our chef’s sample menu gives a good taste of what you can expect…

Starters may include comforting roasted tomato soup, classic king prawn cocktail, smoked ham and chicken terrine, or a goat’s cheese and beetroot tart.

For the main event, our carvery is always about hearty favourites. Think prime roast sirloin of beef with a giant Yorkshire pudding, honey and mustard glazed gammon, roast loin of pork with stuffing, basted turkey breast with cranberries and pigs in blankets, or a butternut squash and root vegetable nut roast.

All main dishes are served with crispy roast potatoes and freshly-prepared market vegetables.

And if Dad has a sweet-tooth, he’ll be well looked after too. Dessert choices on the sample menu include apple and berry crumble with custard, baked chocolate tart, sticky-toffee pudding with caramel sauce, or a selection of ice creams. Delicious!
