The Hythe Imperial Hotel has received another award, this time at the Beautiful South Tourism Awards 2025.
At the latest ceremony, held in Brighton early in December, we were awarded Bronze for Business Events Venue of the Year.
It follows our recent news that we also retained our AA 4-star Silver Award – with a new higher score!

At first you might think – business events? That’s not why I’m coming to a seaside hotel!
But here’s the truth. The same things that make a conference or business event run beautifully, are the things that make a hotel stay feel effortless too.
So while this award sits in the ‘business events’ category, it’s really a sign of something bigger. It shows we’re a hotel that’s well-run, well-led and consistently well looked after.
All in all, it means you can truly relax and enjoy your time with us, no matter what brings you to our hotel.
The Beautiful South Tourism Awards are there to ‘celebrate excellence’ and the ‘very best’ across our region.
It’s a huge area that covers Berkshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, the Isle of Wight, Oxfordshire, Surrey, Sussex, and of course Kent. So we were up against a lot of competition!
We are so proud to be recognised alongside the other fantastic winners in this category – other businesses like us who are raising the bar across the southern region of the UK.
After the awards, the hotel’s Managing Director, Nick Gauntlett, had this to say:
