Here in the UK, our Mother’s Day falls on Sunday, 30th March 2025.
Unlike the US and many other countries that celebrate Mother’s Day in May, our date is based on the Christian tradition of Mothering Sunday – which takes place on the fourth Sunday of Lent.
It’s easy to get confused, especially when we see so much content on social media from America! But the British date is always earlier…

There’s nothing quite like a traditional Sunday lunch to bring all the family together!
Served in our beautiful Coast Restaurant, our special Mother’s Day lunch is a feast to remember. Enjoy delicious locally-sourced produce, expertly prepared by our chefs, in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere.
The menu for Mother’s Day Lunch this year offers plenty of choice – including starters such as smoked salmon or chicken salad. This is followed by roast beef, pork, lamb or salmon – and desserts ranging from apple and rhubarb crumble to coffee crème brûlée.
We can also cater for vegetarian, vegan and gluten free – and do please let us know of any allergy requirements when booking.
The price for all three courses is £42 per person – and children aged up to nine are half price.
A deposit of £15 per person is required to reserve your place.
If your mum enjoys the finer things in life, then treat her to a sumptuous high tea in our parlour…
Served in this elegant setting, our Mother’s Day afternoon tea experience features a selection of delicate finger sandwiches, freshly-baked scones with clotted cream and jam, and an array of tempting sweet treats.
Again, we can easily cater for dietary requirements – but you must let us know when booking.
The price is £32 per person, with a £15 deposit required.
For an extra special touch, why not add a glass of bubbly and toast to the most important woman in your life? This is just £6 per glass, and requires a £20 per person deposit.
It’s a couple of months away yet – but make sure you put Father’s Day 2025 in the calendar!
Once again, the British date is different to other places in the world. And Father’s Day here in the UK this year falls on Sunday, 15th June 2025.
So it might seem far off – but you can already book your place for our Father’s Day Sunday Lunch – again with a £15 per person deposit.
