Raising money for an important cause

There are few things more comforting than a slice of cake and a cuppa shared with friends – old and new. And when every sip helps make a difference, it tastes even sweeter…

That’s the idea behind the annual Macmillan Coffee Morning, one of the UK’s biggest charity events.

On the last Friday in September, for the past 35 years, people up and down the country have gathered for coffee, cake and conversation to raise funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.

At the Hythe Imperial Hotel, we’ve very proudly hosted these coffee mornings for many years, raising thousands of pounds for this important cause. And we’re of course doing it again this year!

It’s a sad part of life that cancer touches all of us in some way, and the money raised from these events goes towards vital support services for both patients and families – when they need it most.

This year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning at the Hythe Imperial

We’re delighted to invite you to our next event on Friday 26th September 2025, taking place from 9am to 2pm at the Hythe Imperial…

Please do come along and join us for tea and coffee, homemade cakes and other sweet treats, and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

Great news – our popular raffle is also back again this year, with tickets priced at £5 a strip or £1 each. The prizes have been donated by the hotel, local businesses, and even some of our wonderful wedding suppliers. Come along and you could win a fantastic prize!

This is a free event – and open to everyone. Collection pots will be dotted around the hotel, and every donation – large or small – will help Macmillan continue their vital work.

If you can’t make it in person, you can still support the cause by donating via the Hythe Imperial JustGiving page.

Together, we can raise money to fight cancer, to raise awareness, and make a real difference.

More than just a hotel – a hub for the community

Events like the Macmillan Coffee Morning gives a little glimpse into the role the Hythe Imperial plays within the local community…

As a historic hotel in Hythe, Kent, our doors are always open to welcome not only overnight guests but also local residents looking for a place to gather, celebrate and connect.

From Kent spa days and indulgent afternoon tea experiences, to our popular Party Tribute Nights, and Sunday Lunches at our award-winning Coast restaurant, we’re proud to offer something for everyone in our local community.

Plus, we are also taking bookings for our Kent Christmas events – make sure you book soon as these are exceptionally popular.

Of course, our hotel is also one of the most sought-after Kent wedding venues. With a beachside setting, large grounds, elegant function rooms and flexible wedding packages, it’s a dream location for Kent coastal weddings.

Why not take a look at what makes us one of the most popular wedding venues in the county?

Please do join us this September…The Macmillan Coffee Morning is a British tradition that brings people together for a cause that touches all of us…

So mark your calendars for Friday 26th September 2025 – 9am to 2pm – and join us at the Hythe Imperial Kent for coffee, cake and community spirit.

Sometimes the smallest gestures, such as a slice of cake, a few pounds in a donation pot, a shared moment with a neighbour – can add up to make the biggest difference.

We look forward to welcoming you at the hotel soon..
