Reservations Manager £28,080 PA

We are looking to recruit an experienced full time Reservations Manager to join our friendly team. Reporting to the Sales Office Manager, The Reservations Manager is responsible for the day to day checking of reservations, supporting the reservation and sales team with reservation telephone calls and emails. The Reservations Manager is also responsible for communicating and updating correctly positioned pricing, competitive positioning and updating daily reports to the Managing Director.

Key Responsibilities:

· Implement revenue management operations, procedures and best practices

· Identify new revenue opportunities

· Daily pick-up analysis, strategy adjustments and reporting

· Build and maintain strong working relationships with all levels of staff.

· Manage and maintain group and transient inventory controls and rates

· Manage and carry out daily checks on all reservations

· Assess & analysis market trends to drive & support revenue, sales and marketing activity.

· Develop and monitor competitor pricing for room rates

The person:

  • Hands-on Hotel Reservations Management experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel.
  • Knowledgeable of hotel technology: PMS (Opera, Channel Manager, GDS, Extranets.
  • Ability to problem solve and work independently and as part of a group in a changing and multi-tasking environment with numerous deadlines
  • Excellent organisational and planning skills
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
