Not only does the Hythe Imperial have this as a natural backdrop, with 44 acres of landscaped grounds, but we are also a pebble’s throw from the beach!
It really is the best of both worlds, and our venue has a range of spaces both inside and out that you can incorporate into your wedding day.
You can have a summer wedding under the shade of our beautiful, ornate gazebo, use the sundecks and terraces facing the ocean, and then enjoy a big party in our grand ballroom. All in one venue.
Summer is always the most popular time for weddings. And you might want to incorporate some of the season’s magic into your big day.
Think big blooms with colourful flowers and detailing. Or go a little bohemian with flowing fabrics, floral headpieces and neutral tones for a more relaxed garden-style wedding.
Nautical is popular too – embrace the setting by the coast with seaside touches such as navy-blue stripes, water, waves and shells.
Our gardens also have a giant deckchair for photos, and popular lawn games. Plus, you have your own private bar on the terrace.

As for dining – you’ll always have delicious cuisine from our expert chefs. This team runs the hotel’s award-winning AA Rosette Coast restaurant.
You can opt for a traditional three-course wedding breakfast, celebrating the season with fresh farm meat and fresh vegetables, and local fish..
Other summer dining options for you and your guests could be a hot fork buffet with a choice of salads – perfect for a lighter meal in the sunny weather. Or even a barbecue with a range of meat and veggie options, or fresh fish and chips from your very own dedicated fish and chip van!

We also offer a variety of wedding packages available in the summertime.
Our packages include everything you need for a beautiful and memorable wedding, including food, drinks, and entertainment.
The most popular for summer is the Gazebo Wedding Package. This is available from April to September and includes a red carpet arrival with Pimms or prosecco, a wedding breakfast and evening buffet, house wine for your guests, a toastmaster, and an overnight stay at the hotel for the wedding couple.
Your ceremony takes place in the enchanted gardens, with the gazebo as a stunning backdrop.
But that’s just the start – there are many more wedding packages to choose from and we have special offers available for selected dates in 2024, with packages starting from only £5,600.

Of course, summer weddings at the Hythe Imperial embrace the great outdoors. There’s our gardens and the sea air to enjoy, and hopefully lots of sunshine too!
But this is England, and we do all know nothing is guaranteed weather-wise.
It’s another big advantage of our venue – we can quickly change plans if you need to.
That’s because within the hotel we have a choice of indoor ceremony rooms that can be used should there be a shower.
