A beautiful four-star hotel overlooking the beach in one of Kent’s most charming and individual towns – if you’re looking for somewhere very special to celebrate one of the best days of your life, you’ve found it. Dating back to the 1880s, when it was built as a railway hotel, the Hythe Imperial Hotel combines classical elegance with contemporary luxury and the natural, unassuming appeal of this historic coastal town.
We offer several different wedding packages, designed to cater for however you want your special day to be – whether that’s a low-key evening gathering or a summer’s day of celebrating in the sunshine. Our Hythe wedding reception package provides you with exclusive use of our splendid ballroom, sundecks and terrace for you and 50 guests (or more, if you wish). We’ll roll out the red carpet for your arrival and welcome you all with a glass of prosecco.
The three-course wedding breakfast includes half a bottle of wine per person, another glass of prosecco for the toast, and tea, coffee and chocolates afterwards; for evening guests, or those who are somehow still hungry, there’ll be a hearty buffet later featuring that perennial favourite: bacon, sausage and egg baps.
The package also includes your wedding night stay in one of our deluxe rooms – each one is individually decorated, and has a lounge area where you can sit and relax, plus a Seventh Heaven king-size bed for a good night’s sleep. There’s also a smart TV, Illy coffee machine, White Company Noir toiletries, wireless broadband, air conditioning and a fridge filled with free drinks and snacks to ensure you want for nothing during your stay. We can also offer special rates for other wedding guests, and for Sunday weddings, overnight accommodation for up to 20 people (as well as the bride and groom) is included in the price.
Weddings and civil ceremonies in Kent can also be held at the Hythe Imperial. As a licenced venue, we can provide you with a stunning setting in which to make your vows. If you’d like to celebrate the whole day here, choose our Seabrook package, which includes use of our ceremony room, which we’ll decorate for you. And, after having enjoyed the privilege of sharing your celebrations in full, we’d love to keep in touch – so we’ll invite you back to celebrate your first anniversary with a three-course meal on us.
With both packages, you can have of course have more than 50 guests – but if you’re having a slightly larger wedding you might want to go for our Imperial package for 60 guests, which includes a disco, plus a toastmaster to host your day. From April to September, we act as an outdoor wedding venue, with our beautiful gardens providing the perfect setting for your day. Our Gazebo Package now includes Prosecco or Pimm’s arrival drinks for your guests.
If a low-key evening celebration is more your style, you can switch the formal meal for a finger buffet – still with the red carpet, Prosecco and exclusive use of the ballroom and terraces.
