Your wedding minibreak for family and friends

One of the most wonderful things about a wedding is the opportunity for your families and friends to reunite and come together to celebrate your special day and there is no better way to do this than under one roof here at the Hythe Imperial Hotel, Kent’s luxury wedding venue.

The beauty of a hotel wedding is that you also have the option of starting the fun early by extending the celebrations, perhaps inviting your closest friends and family members to join you for a spa day or round of golf the day before followed by an informal drinks reception or meal in one of our bar and lounge or fine dining areas. Or you could try out one of the excellent restaurants in nearby Hythe, Sandgate or Folkestone!

It is worth sounding out some friends and family members about the suitability and affordability of extending your festivities in this way and whether you budget for this as a couple, or ask your guests to attend and pay their way (as long as they know the arrangement ahead of time), it is really up to you. If guests are travelling a long way to join you, then they are likely to really appreciate that the wedding is taking place over few days. Remember that your guests may be travelling some distance to attend so bear in mind the different arrival times of your advance party group and cater accordingly.  As much as it is your celebration, don’t lose sight of the effort made by your guests and ensure anyone arriving the night before is made to feel welcome.
